Breeding lovebird question
So my pair of lovebird laid eggs but when the first egg was laid it wasn't until a week and a half later the second egg is laid. Currently just two eggs now but they are a week apart should I be concern? Any information will help

Re: Breeding lovebird question
So my female just laid a 3rd egg. So that makes it two eggs laid back to back and one egg laid a week earlier. I know that the normal laying is everyother day. So I just want to know if I should be concern

Re: Breeding lovebird question
No, should be fine. If the first egg is fertile the chick will be much bigger than the others, and that can be a problem. Check if it's fertile.

Re: Breeding lovebird question
I'm not sure how to check if it's fertile or not but if it is I do have hand feeding experience so I can handfeed the older one then the other two when they get older too. I was planning to handfeed this batch anyways. Thanks for the input

Re: Breeding lovebird question
Hi, I'm new to this site. Hope someone can help me identify the type love birds I have. Yellow with bright orange faces, in certain light you can see a greeish undercast. Tails are red and blue and or purple/lavander. Blue or purple down the center back. Also, does a Creamino always have red eyes. I bred what I think is a black eyed Creamino with a male described above and got a red eyed and two black eyed. One is going to look like the father with the blue/purple tail and some orange on the face.
