    Ugh, people burning things

We live near farm lands and they back burn their fields... today one of them apparently did a lot of land and the whole neighborhood is covered in a haze of smoke. It's getting in the house and the poor bird was showing obvious signs of distress. We blocked everything off as best we could and the air purifier is running on high and the smoke smell is mostly out of the room he's in, but guh! Should be air pollution rules or something about burning that much land.

I feel for you, nothing is worse then smoke in the air from something burning. I grew up in the Sacramento valley and each year they would burn the rice fields and it was awful to do anything outside because of the smoke. Up here we get forest fires and that smoke is nothing you want to breath. I hope all your pets will be OK and I am happy you got a air purifier for them, wished I had one of those quite a few times here.

I can't imagine how bad a forest fire would make it! And the worrying it will come to your house must make it even worse. We were out to dinner when it started and came home to it, poor little birdy was sneezing and doing the stretch the neck out yawn/clear crop thing when we got home he's all better now though, the air purifier was a life saver!

Poor baby having to breath all the smoke I got into the habit of closing my windows when we leave the house up here because of smoke issues. Forest fires scare the you know what out of me and we get a few big scares here each year because of where we live.

Ugh!! Is the best way to put it.. I feel for you two that you have to put up with the smoke from farmers burning their fields and the fear of a forest fires. Happy to hear that the air purifier is working out well for you and your fid.

We never open the windows, but it's an old house, so windows are drafty and it's hard to keep it out Forest fires every year must be scary though, glad you haven't gotten hit by one though!
