Is a Water bowl ok for lovebirds?

I have just bought a very large bird cage for my two lovebirds, I have filled one of the bowls up with water, is this ok? Before they had a bird type bottle.

Water bowls are fine, just be sure to change it daily (or more if they tend to make a mess of it quickly)

When I had boomer he had a water bottle and a bowl of water in his cage. He was strange and would always try to take a bath in his water bottle and once he figured out he couldnt he used the bowl to take a bath in.

I use bathing dishes with about 1 inch of water in them. There's always a hamster style bottle available aswell, the only form of drinker that they cant ram food/poop into and make a mess - thus the only way to have a fresh supply of drinking water! Bathing water is filthy within an hour normally

I can't get my birds to drink from a bottle.. It's annoying.
