Is my bird male or female?

It's around 6-7 months old, and it is a light pied, I think. I was wondering about the gender. I heard it's hard to sex the pied cockatiel because they're are not sexually dimorphic. Is this true?

Best way to tell is a DNA test. Pieds are nearly impossible to sex visually in most cases. Also, you can't really tell for most mutations until after the first molt even when there are visual signs - a pearl will lose the pearls if a male, for example after a molt and the bars on the tail go away for males after a molt. At four weeks, they all kind of look the same though.
