New here and to bird owning!

My name is Miranda I'm 27 and a stay at home wife. I stumbled upon this site after a trip to my local PetsMart to buy some fish resulted into getting a Green Cheek Conure also :P. So knowing little about birds and less about Green Cheek Conure's I immediately begin researching online about them and here we are. I have quietly been reading forums here for the last 2 days but decided today's the day to introduce my family. I have a 8 year old Cockatiel named C'C' that i have been having for about 5 months. She is a handful and I will have many questions about her later lol. And of course i have a Green Cheek Conure named Zazu who is 10 months old and i will need PLENTY of help with him

Hooray for Zazu. Tiels sound great but I am partial to those GCC's with their plumage like a fancy little neck ruff. Glad you joined

Welcome! I've had my fair share of cockatiels, and I love the species! All I know about GCC"S is from working with them at a petstore, and they can be fun, and VERY active little gems

Hmmm... Your story sounds familiar. I too am new to the site and a new owner of a Pineapple Conure. We went to the petstore to get a new hamster ball and fell in love with Pistachio and he had to come home with us. Our two cockatiels and cat aren't too sure yet what to think of the new addition.

I know what you mean Renee Zazu flew to the ground and Simba politely pinned him to the ground under his paw. Scared the crap out of me! Poor Peanuts so scared of Zazu that he just hightails it out the room if Zazu hits the ground lol. Best of luck to you and your family!
