A little bird envy?
Here is Duke, he is my red suffusion Princess Parrot
(at least thats my best guess at what he is)
He has pinky red all the way down to his toes, and its also shot through on his wings.
I bought him for 200 with his cage, because he was on consignment at a locally
owned pet store because his old owner passed away.
He speaks chinese, and some english, he also whistles, and barks like a little terrier.

Oh, what a beautiful bird! What a fascinating vocabulary! Is he tame/handleable? I'm so glad he found a good home.

Re: A little bird envy?
Hes very tame! Hes clingy like a little two year old, lol I can put him down on the couch, and I can say "Duke Here" and he walks over, I can snap my fingers and hell fly to my wrist And he greets me excitedly whenever I come home. For volume and call, he kinda sounds like a cockatiel but he also does a Bubbling call. So Pretty! Video of him doing that: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UhwTCTm9qbM
PS I know his cage doesnt have very many toys, but he just doesnt play with them. He doesnt like being in his cage so most of the time hes out anyway lol
Oh the only issue I have with him, is that someone used to feed him junk food, so now hes a HUGE mooch, and hes also cage possessive, but I dont blame him,
because little children used to stick their fingers in his cage all the time.

Re: A little bird envy?
Oh wow, he's a lovely boy. Yes, I do have a bit of bird envy. That's one of the only drawbacks to loving birds: there are so many varieties you could have a handful and no time and still yearn for 'just one more'!
Thank goodness there are TF's to have other exciting birds for me. Thanks so much for that pic
