    cage for a Princess Parrot

ive decided to get myself a Princess parrot but before i actually buy it i need an opinion on the cage i have. i dont have any pics of it but its 600mm by 600mm so basically a cube shaped cage. would that be big enough for it? i will let it out daily so it wont be stuck in the cage 24/7

Another parrot i had my eye on was the Indian Ringneck parrot, would either of them be too big for my cage?

Hi Brad, Welcome to the site.

I dont know much about Princess Parrots or even Ringnecks but the cage your looking at does sound like it could be a little bit small for either of them. My lovie was in one just a tiny bit smaller then the one your looking at and lots of people here would say it was too small for a lovie. He was out all the time since I work from home so it was perfect for him.

Sounds a bit small for either. Princess parrots, like cockatiels, need large amounts of space for their beautiful wing span. And ring necks need a bit of space as well. If the bird will be out pretty much 24/7 except when sleeping maybe, but otherwise, I would upgrade the cage

aww okayy, i really really like them birds, especially the princess parrot and i dont really want to settle for a smaller bird. would it be okay if it were in that cage for a month or so? untill i save up for a bigger better cage? or would it be too cruel?

If you let him out of the cage lots it would be OK. But since they are bigger birds like Marie said they really do need a larger cage so dont keep it in the small cage for a long time.

As long as you let it out often until you can get a bigger cage. Look online and you can get good deals on flight cages, which would be great for a Princess. Can get one for $100-$150 usually here, not sure on Aus prices.
