Fly Free Boomer, we will forever love you.
Hi Ashleigh and welcome to the forums.. One thing for sure, you will enjoy the experiences that many birds lovers have. I have had cockatiels since I was 10 years old. I just brought home my new baby just over a week ago and my husband and I just love him to death.
Yay! Another younger memberWelcome to the site, I look forward to seeing your birdies! I just turned 14 on saturday and I have two cockatiels named Mumble and Chester both are a year old, too.
I would say a cockatiel is a wise choice. They are great birds for beginners. You will find so much information on the cockatiel threads.. Let us know when the baby arrives. Would love to see some pics.
P.S. I'm 44 and like I mentioned, I'm on my fifth one. They are awesome birds..
I agree. They have great personalities and they are easy to handle. Mine also talk A LOT and the wild birds have actually started mimicing their whistles. I am debating on getting a third one but have been putting it off because my boys are turning 1 and are going crazy with hormones and molting and behavioral changes. Anyways, welcome again and can't wait to see your bird(s) and its cage![]()
Let us know when the baby arrives. Would love to see some pics.
Will do!
