Advice on a potential Lovebird purchase?

Ok so I have seen a baby lovebird for sale who's being sold as a Black Masked baby lovebird. Albino father and normal masked blue mother.
I have attached a picture of what the baby looks like:


Hes pretty cute with gorgeous coloring and this is what his sibling from a previous clutch looks like:


I'd like to get into breeding them in the future so I want that to be a possibility but also to bond with Chaos my current lovie who is a Hybrid and infertile
They are asking $110 and he has been hand-raised.

Should I consider him/her?

It's a pastel D blue masked, nice bird. It may well bond with Chaos, but obviously they will never be able to reproduce. I don't know the value of lovebirds in NZ, so that's down to you. Looks like a nice healthy chick though.

Awe he is so cute! Did you get to handle him? I would go by his personality- to give him and Chaos the best chance of bonding. So if Choas is a very outgoing/dominant bird I would not recommend getting a baby that is also like that etc. Other than that he looks healthy and gorgeous!

As is is super tame and very relaxed, but Chaos is still pretty wild and really out-going, loud and busy will this influence the baby much?
Or will it make Chaos tamer do you think?
I thought I might get Chaos another mate to bond with and just get this baby for myself as a future breeder as he is super cute and has really nice coloration :3

I have found that having a tame buddy helps tame the other bird, if one readily steps up the other will soon follow. Either way he is super cute!

Hi! So I just made this account to inform you that I was actually considering purchasing that exact same lovebird! Unfortunately, the person hasn't updated their page yet, so I think it's not available/has been sold already (is what the breeder told me!)

I did end up buying a lovebird from the breeder though, but that was the 'last one' so to speak (masked one).

What a fab looking little guy
The only thing I will say is i was once told hand raised babies don't always make good parents... I don't know if breeders here would agree... it was just something someone mentioned in passing which i poopooed anyway coz breeding Sammy isn't something I plan at all.
