Now that all the party guests have left, I'm here to help with the cleanup. Got my trash barrel, broom and dust pan at the ready. Glad you used paper plates

Those little fids sure did make a mess with that Angry Bird game! Beaking that pinata was pure fun for them, but a big clean-up job for one of my favorite gals on Tailfeathers. . . And that's you, Pat!
This Par-tay was a huge success, and beyond my "wildest dreams". I can hardly wait until the next one in August when we celebrate Misty and Kahnee's bird-th-day!! Oh, and by the way, I believe Tango's bird-th-day is the first part of October!!! (hint! hint!) I'll bet Tango never realized his "Grandma" has such a "par-tay" streak in her!! (lol)
Ollie and Muffin are sound asleep already, having sweet dreams of listening to "Shake your Tail Feathers", and the Happy Birthday song, beaking the Angry bird, eating birdy bread and birdy ice cream, and playing with Misty, Rosie, Riley, Kahnee, Sweetie, Tubbie, Chauncey, Gabby, Kiwi, Chicken Little, and Tango! They LOVED the airplane fly around, and think that Tango has one very intelligent and awesome Dad who gave them the fly over of their little lives!
Thanks again to everyone for all you did to make this the best bird-th-day par-tay ever!!

Thanks for the party Pat, it was a blast and I am happy I had no messes to worry about here. Poor Pat cleaning up the pinata mess because I remember what a mess fids can make with there pinata's.
No eagles were spotted but we did get to see quite a few Osprey's flying over us. I tried to get pictures of the Ospreys to share here but they were too far away for any of the pictures to turn out. Also no bears this time. Last time I made the brownies right before we just left and the scent of fresh baked brownies lured a huge bear in. I wasnt upset about the brownies being stolen because we should have known not to leave them out on our blanket but the big bear stole my nice corning baking pan they were in. I made John hunt in the woods for it and he found it and you could actually see the bears mouth prints on it where he scraped off the brownies to eat them. No harm done and it was kind of fun to know they have sweet tooths just like us humans do.

Oh, I'm soooo happy that the rice krispies treats were SAFE!! Too bad you couldn't get photos of the ospreys.
But you had a good time and that's what counts.
And, regarding the party, you're welcome, but the thanks should really go to Ellen for all her hard work in organizing all the fun. I just participated in a terrific event. We should do this more often! I'll do one for Misty and Kahnee for sure...

Well, Ollie told me this morning that she has a "crush" on Kahnee, Misty and Tango! Silly girl!! I told her it might be o.k. to have a crush on "one", but "three"??????? No wonder Ollie can't seem to stop her chronic egg laying!! She must be "fidmale crazy"!! One thing for sure, if Ollie could have a "real" male tiel partner, I can only imagine how beautiful her babies would be. I'd LOVE to breed her with a cinnamon pied male. Wow . . . . I'd have some good lookin' chicks!!!
Deanna, I was soooo happy you could attend the party!! I'm sure glad the bears stayed away from you yesterday. I can just smell fresh warm brownies right now (in my mind of course), and I would sit down and eat way too many of them, right out of the oven!! And Deanna, you were very brave to bring out Boomer's toys to share, because I can only imagine all the memories that flooded your mind and heart yesterday, knowing Boomer was flying over the rainbow bridge. Maybe someday when you and your husband become "empty nesters", you might decide to jump back in the pool and get another little fid!
Yes, it sure was lots of fun, and I can hardly wait until August for Pat's par-tay! And I've made some super friends in the process too!! Carolyn and John sure came through with their videos and helped me with the "big surprise". Being an only child, living on the farm with just your parents, the animals, and chickens, ducks, geese, pigs, etc. etc., you learn to use your "imagination" early on in life, to keep your mind occupied and your day busy. I never thought that "imagination" would one day end up on a bird forum, in the form of a "bird-th-day PAR-TAY"!

I would fall in love with all of your birds if I were a bird, they are all just sweet spoiled ones which are my favorite kind of birds. Kahnee has stolen my heart! I just love conures and you can tell he is such a good bird with talent written all over his cute face. One day I hope to pass through the town Pat lives in and she better watch out because she might just be missing him once I leave her house.
The Kiwi bird is actually one of my pets, he came all the way from New Zealand when my Mom went over there on one of her many trips there. It sits on this flower wreath above my bed. One time I thought we were having a earthquake but wasnt quite sure and all the sudden the Kiwi fell down onto our bed and I knew then it was definitly a earthquake. Boomer lusted over Kiwi but since he just wanted it as a sex slave he couldnt actually touch it. Bobblehead was all his and when I actually bounce its head I smile because he sure did love it. Thinking of boomer makes me happy now and not sad.

@ Deanna, I'm pleased that you can now think of Boomer, and remember the "happy" times and memories in a much better way than when you first lost him. I can pretty much do the same with my little budgie, Maxi, who passed last October. Maxi was (5) years old. He left me very unexpectedly. Personally, I will always feel that I should not have been feeding him parsley and kale. Both have certain chemicals that are not good for the thyroid of little budgies. Of course I learned that info after he was gone. Maxi was quite a character for the little white ball of fluff that he was. He was very strong, loved to chirp, and play and ride one of his favorite toys. He'd work that toy for all it was worth. He also learned to flock call like a tiel (my Muffin has also learned that now). He had the most pleasing personality. He was a pied white with some light blue mixed in. Carolyn (Pipers Mom) tells me that Tango is very sweet and laid back for being a male tiel. I believe that pied birds, no matter the species tend to be that way. My first tiel, Bobber, was a yellow and white pied. He too was very sweet and docile, yet he was the typical male that would on occasion make lots of noise, and was always active. Sounds like Tango has some of those same characteristics. I brought Muffin home very shortly after Maxi passed. My home has to have the sound of a budgie, or I'm lost here. I've homed budgies for more than 50 years, so consequently, they are just like a piece of furniture.
It is interesting to know that your Mom went to New Zealand and brought Kiwi back to you. Karen (Jaspa) on the forum is also from New Zealand. She and I became friends several months ago on the forum. From what she has told me, New Zealand is one of the most beautiful places in the world. And also, I do think Northern California, all the way up the coast, into Seattle, on to Vancouver, and of course then to Alaska, is also beautiful country. I do envy your ability to sight see and enjoy your beautiful scenery there. You deserve to be happy in this life, and it appears that you and your husband and daughter are just that.
