    Vomiting cockatiel

She swallowed a bunch of large pellets whole. Later, she threw them back up, partially digested. There were pieces of seed in there as well. She seems irritated, but still active. It was vomiting not regurgitation because what came out was nasty and digested, and she shook her head violently so it shot everywhere.

Can I take her to the vet in another few hours (when I have a ride), or should I get her to the ER vet right away?

The sooner the better but perhaps it was the large pellets that just didnt agree with her and that is why she threw up. I would need to wait 3 hours at times to get boomer to the vet because they were too busy to take him anytime sooner and I would be be a mess with worry until I got him there. How does her poops look? If they are mushy and wet this is a sure sign she is sick. I hope she will be OK.

Her poops are normal. She just dropped a nice, green, firm, blob on my lap when I was comforting her. Yup, a sign of love.

Then she just dropped a really abnormal one. ER vet it is. I can't wait; I'm worrying too much.

I am happy you took her to the vet and she was fine. It least now you have no more worries over here being sick or not and hopefully she wont eat large pellets whole anymore.
