Nestbox issue
Hi I love two lovebirds. I think that they are 2 female but technically they are male and female. I provided them a nestbox and palm leaves so they can shred it and keep it in the box. But surprisingly (they both are in the box but the "male"stayes guard from the hole of the box). I opened to box to see what they had done I found that they made two circular nests out of leaves one for each. What does this means? ( they are both peach faced)

Re: Nestbox issue
Your male/female pair are actually 2 hens that happen to get along well, at least so far. Each hen has created her own place to lay her eggs. Hopefully, they will continue to get along and share the box (possible) but I wouldn't count on it. Be prepared to move one of them or you could find yourself with one hen and a corpse.

Re: Nestbox issue
I was thinking of adding a male in to the cage and also add another nestbox to the cage for the other female. Since 2 females fight if they have only one nestbox.

Re: Nestbox issue
2 females and a male in 1 cage = death
