Boy or Girl?....

Hey everyone. I have a question regarding my 3+yr old budgie, Alex. I can't tell if he is a boy it girl. I know it is a boy if the cere is blue and a girl if it is brown or pink, but it keeps "changing color!" what do I do?

Without seeing Alex, if the cere keeps 'changing color' I'd lean toward saying Alex is a female. Males at Alex's age are clearly and definitely blue, sometimes looking a bit whitish. Females look more brownish and may hint at a bluish tinge but are not really clear blue. Since Alex is a 'rare', I would go for saying Alex is a she. And the photo avatar you use sure looks like a female cere.
