Help!!!! My cockatiel is sick!

My cockatiel Oscar is very ill. I came home yesterday, and he was at the bottom of his cage. He is very light, and he can barely keep his eys open. He had a wet spot around his mouth. It looks like he threw up. I don't have an avian vet anywhere nearby... What should I do?!

Call the different vets in your area until you find one that can treat avians, it doesn't have to be an avian certified vet. Exotics vets often treat birds.

I don't know whether or not if you got Oscar to the vet yet, until you can find an exotic vet like Marie has recommended, try using Pedia-Lyte. It's a bit pricey and the bottle is only good for 24 hours after you open it. But it will help boost Oscar's electrolytes. Please keep us posted on Oscar!! Sending hugs.
