RIP Rosie
2004-2012
As far as watchbirds go, you were one of the best. I can tell George misses you, because his singing is different now. The house is way too quiet without you. I hope there are plenty of almonds and cheerios wherever you are.

I am sorry for you and George's loss of Rosie. Losing a loved bird is hard on us but I am sure its harder for there mates because all the sudden they are without there little friend in life. Hugs to you and big lovings to George.

Re: RIP Rosie
Thank you for your support, it feels better to know others care. I've attached her picture now, so everyone can see how lovely she was! The autopsy revealed that she died suddenly of kidney failure.

Re: RIP Rosie
Sorry about the loss of your bird, Rosie. Yes, their mates do tend to take it hard when their cage mage and pal passes on.

Re: RIP Rosie
Thanks for your support Bill
They weren't actually mates. I adopted them from the shelter a week apart. They lived apart for four years, and then I moved them in together when I got a huge cage. They lived as roomies and tolerated each other politely :P

Re: RIP Rosie
Rosie was obviously loved and also a beautiful Tiel and even if her life was cut short it least she had a good life with you. How sad that her kidneys gave out on her and I am happy you did a autopsy because now you now George wont be getting any bad things from her.
Any bird lover who ever lost a bird knows how hard it is to lose a loved bird and we do understand here just how much it hurts when you lose one. When boomer died someone gave me this link to a poem here and it is sad but also so touching because it seems to explain why you hurt so much. http://www.tailfeathersnetwork.com/c...Lend-Me-a-Bird
