    Re: Droppings changed?

Is the liquid clear or does it also have green and white mixed in with it? If it is all mixed and runny your bird has diarrhea and needs to see a vet ASAP. If it is liquid and looks clear has he been taking lots of bathes or drinking lots of water? This can cause them to have lots of liquid poops but it clears up after a hour at the most. Is it always like this? If it is it sounds like your bird could be backed up somehow and he needs to see a vet ASAP as well. Your smart to watch his poops, they really do change lots when they get sick.

Even though our bird was definitely overweight big time, when he had a *dump* it looked more like a bloodworm than normal dung. He got over it though when we added a bit of burnt tea to his meals. He's as happy as a pig in dirt right now! O-)

also, sorry boomer forgot to tell you if its mixed or clear. But anyway, since he doesnt have it now, i cant surely tell. but if i remember, it almost look like you cracked an egg the the clear goo is in it, with a small green and white swirl. *gross visualization XD*

    Re: Droppings changed?

He probably either just took a bath or drank lots of water. Boomers would change to nothing but as I called it pee after he took a bath because he drank so much of it. I always kept white paper on the cage bottom just so I could check out his poops to make sure he was OK, but he was a sick bird and I had to watch his poops. They do change colors and textures depending on what they eat or if they drank lots of water. As long as you did see the white and green and they were not mushed all up together Chachi should be just fine.
