Sassy and Baby have left us.

I know a few of you here will remember Sassy.
Both Sassy and his partner Baby have unfortunately gone to rainbow bridge together. Sassy, although you were a complete nut of a bird, i loved you with all my heart. I hope you are both happily flying around the rainbow bridge together. Sassy......you can also be reunited with your beloved Skip

what happened Debby? I am very sorry for your loss, I know you had your problems with Sassy but he was a very special bird and I am sure Baby was as well. Fly free little babies.

To lose one is hard but to lose both of them at the same time just must be miserable.

Fly free Sassy and Baby, you were loved by many.

I have to say I am happy you posted this for us, not only did I always wonder how your birds your doing but I wondered and worried about you as well. Big HUGS to you Debby.

It's a real long story, I will write about it on tailfeathers later.
The main thing is they did not suffer any pain as far as i know. It was a house fire, Neither of them were affected by the flames, but the smoke inhalation took them during the night..

Debby that is awful and I hope you and your family are all OK as well. Sometimes we just cant protect our babies from these kinds of things and hopefully like you said they didnt suffer any kind of pain. Big hugs to you.

Thank you everyone for your kind wishes.
There has been a loss of around 80 birds due to the smoke fumes. Unfortunately Sassy and Baby were 2 of them.
All of the birds lost range from Budgies and cockatiels to Greys, macaws, Amazons and a few birds of prey.
This is truely a really sad time.

Ohh Debby, I am so, so sorry for your loss.
That's one of my biggest fears, it really is.

I'm glad you're all safe... but I won't use the word alright coz I know you won't be for a long time. I hope you soon get through the sadness and can remember all the joy and good times instead.
