This is the first ever this colour from these two wf cockatiels. This baby if from their second batch of babies since we have had them. i think it is a white faced cinnamon. so i found that this cooling is not to rare but she/he is very pretty.

Re: Hey is this a rare mutation ?
Oh, Coby!!!! She/he is "gorgeous"!! I am leaning towards it being a "white faced cinnamon pied. If the feathers were all cinnamon colored then it would be a white face cinnamon. I remember the first clutch that you hatched, and I believe at that time you posted some pics, and asked us to make comments on those babies, and if I remember correctly, I saw two that looked alot like this one. I'm sure you know that if it were just a "cinnamon", there would be no other coloring on the bird except cinnamon feathers. And I believe the cinnamon male can have a yellow head and face. (not 100% sure of that statement, just "think so). Also, I think that there is a recessive gene in grey pieds, because I've seen others that display those beautiful cinnamon (brownish) feathers!! And I think that if your male was a cinnamon, you could possibly get an all cinnamon!!
I love ALL tiels, but I am just simply attracted to white face cinnamon, and cinnamon pied tiels.I also love cinnamon pearls. I once had a white face cinnamon who, after its first annual molt was just simply gorgeous. The feathering on her was breathtaking. I've never seen one like that since. I had to rehome her, because I had to downsize my home and move into an apartment and the new lease I signed would only allow me to have one bird. And at the time I had (13) . . . . 4 tiels and 9 budgies!
Please keep those pics coming to us and let us know how all of your babies are doing. How are the first babies getting along?
