also trying to get a loose parakeet

Yikes, I also am trying to catch a loose parakeet who seems to be quite happy flying with the sparrows and healthy right now. He is coming to my bird feeders several times a day. I have put out a cage with a cuddle bone on the outside close to where I have seen him "sharpening" his beak. there are toys and food in there as well. so far no luck...I think the millet is a great idea and will add that...any other suggestions??

I imagine if you move the feeder closer to your house then open the back door possibly you could get some luck? Or even if you can somehow get the feeder inside the cage and sneak with a net or something, however the other birds could be an issue...

I think the millet is a great idea. Maybe like Alyx said open your door and try to get him closer to your house. I heard some people will record a bird chirping and then play it for the outside bird to get it to come into your house so you can then trap it in the house to save it. It least this little bird is happy with the outdoor birds and knows where to find food except come winter it will surely be cold for it to be outside.
