Thanks, Deanna. I'm happy they're pals now, especially with Rosey in quarantine, so to speak. But everyone got snuggles today. Riley's been sitting in his house making kissing sounds and saying 'baby bird' over and over. He's just learning to talk.

Rosey got bitten on her beak, I suspect it was from Riley. I found her shaking in great pain and saw bruise marks at the corners of her beak. I had to hand-feed her for a week. She now lives in her own house and it's placed right next to my desk during the day so we can interact and I can keep an eye on her. She's doing a lot better. So, Rosey's not going to room with Riley anymore.

Duh!! Now I did read about Rosie's injury!!! Was I having a Senior moment? Oh Dear!! Happy to hear Rose is improving! Personally, I'd rather live in my own "cage" all by myself too!

@Carolyn, it looks like Misty IS teaching Riley the Andy Griffith theme. Riley entertains himself and us by practicing 'baby bird', kissie smooching sounds, imitating the conure scream (so funny from such a teensy bird) and whistling what sounds like the beginnings of the Andy Griffith theme. Riley's also coming up with some new sounds I don't yet recognize. He's such a talented cutie-pie

@Ellen, yes, Rosey's doing much better. She sits next to my desk in her little house except for when she sits on my shoulder or cuddles in my hand. Her weight is up to normal and she's much less tired than she was. Now I have to work on getting some toys she's really interested in. I have tons of bird toys but she's just interested in cuddling

An update on Ollie, the Diva: Second egg laid yesterday. Ollie is a "happy camper" again! I hope she doesn't have to wear "maternity" clothes for Tango's BIG bird-th-day party the 6th of October.
