Color mutation guesses.... Please and Thank you.

The male is the green and the female is the yellow. Any help is appreciated. I have guesses, but would love other input to see if I am on the right track.

    Thanks

Wished I could help you but I dont know lovie genetics at all. I will say both of your lovebirds are gorgeous. The green one has the prettiest pastel orange head, usually they are so much darker then his.

Thanks. Those are actually my Nova's parents. I think she (??) is going to end up looking like her dad. She is 12 weeks old and feisty The picture doesn't show much of her face colors, but in person there is a peachy yellow tint to the top of her head and her face.

Nova is amazing, even better looking to me then both of her parents. I can see just a hint of orange on her forehead in the picture. I hope one of our lovie breeders comes to this post to let you know what kind of lovies they are because like I said before all I know is yours are beautiful.

Very pretty birds Dad is a dutch blue American cinnamon, mom is a creamino - and Nova does look like she is also a dutch blue American cinnamon, which means she is for sure female! Any non cinnamon babies that this pair would have would be males, and split to ino (so they could produce female ino babies).

Thank you. I am so new at all the mutations... I was thinking what you said and I was wanting a confirmation

Any good suggestions as to where I can go to learn more about the colors??? I am trying to learn off of what I find on the internet, but some of the mutations are confusing!!

Check with the ALBS (african lovebird society) and Angelina's nest has great reference pictures of some of the birds she has bred.
