    Bird obsessed with Flying.

Welp. Bibi is approaching her four month mark and she's just as, if not more, obsessed with flying as she was before.
It's getting to the point where I can barely train her. I mean, she does step up but as soon as she does, she takes off.
She's still skiddish. :/ She's now the same age as I the day I got my previous lovebird, but he didn't have any problems.
    What do I do?

Lovies are very active birds and Bibi must be having a blast flying all around. I have read lots of posts here that people end up trimming the flight feathers so that they can train there birds easier. This is a personal choice and since Bibi is flying around so much it may really upset her to have her wings trimmed but she would it least calm down enough to possibly relax on you rather then just flying away.
Fly Free Boomer, we will forever love you.

When my tiel starts doing the step-up fly away thing I work with hik by giving him something he loves when he steps up to keep his attention. Now, usually for me this is kisses or pets, since my bird is a total attention hog. But, treats work too. Or, perhaps start teaching a command for stay? Perhaps clicker training. Different methods work for different birds.

Lovebirds are supposed to fly. They're birds.
And at four months, she's really only just learning to do it properly and well.

I've clipped all my birds - but more for safety than training. If your bird is flying well and safely at home (Sammy was 11 weeks when i picked him up, and was bad at avoiding things like windows and doors).

You just have to make being with you more important and interesting than not being with you. So you have the best toys, with you, and the best treats. Being Skiddish won't be improved by clipping wings... you have to earn trust and build the relationship.

Thanks Lee for the adorable sig!
