    Re: Yingshiong and Tinkerbell

I been away from here for such a long time. I came back from a circular way as I very recently got into Facebook (all thumbs and toes) and saw a link I placed there to get here to read account of Yingshiong.
I am still a docent there. Last year or so, there was a huge renovation of the South East Asia walk in aviary and all birdies moved out. The when the renovation over, birdies moved back in.
Yingshiong is a very tiny bird even if he meant the world to me.
In between the movement, YS got lost. I hope that meant he living out there with a harem of charming sexy female shamas and he giving them a jolly good time.

As for Tinkerbell, I last saw him in 2016 and here is him flying to me. I ddi not write up that yet and fell desparately behind in my writings. I likely be seeing her in couple weeks time

    Warmest regards

Hi, Shanlung and a warm welcome and hugs to you! And thank you for the update. The forum here is slower these days because most folks go to Facebook and post there. I was sad to read that YS got lost in the moving process. Do you think nature would ever guide him back to his flock where he was living??

And WOW! What a beautiful picture of Tinkerbell. And the scenery there is beautiful too. I wish for you the best life and good health! Stop by here anytime!

Times do change. I jsut got started in FB. Been there 6-7 years but terrifed of naviagation there and posted very very seldom.
But couple days ago, I got to like it. And something I wrote there should be here as well as to news of Tinkerbell

A very very brief summary of my early times with Tinkerbell of Taiwan. When she sprinkled me with fairy dust and opened my third eye and my heart to her and wonders of her kind and others of her natural world.
URL to Summary of Tinkerbell and Guide to the training and harness details here
    http://shanlung.livejournal.com/8284.html

    Details are in http://www.shanlung.com/indexbegin.html

I had to leave her behind in Taiwan when my contract there on the High Speed Rail ended in 2004. Since then I been back to be with her for 2 to 3 weeks every year or other year.

    Here are some such report

In June/July 2O11, I visited Tinkerbell in Taiwan.

The last photo here is the last taken in 2016. Had not written on that yet.
I be returning to see her in couple of months time.

Tinkerbell would fly only to my friend or to me and no one else.

    from https://www.facebook.com/groups/bird...epa=SEARCH_BOX

and videos of Yingshiong flying to me on recalls , and back into his cage on cue be seen there.
Look for the intro post from me

"Hi folks, Nice to be in this group. I do not have a grey , or even any birdie now. But those that might have came across me in the past known a bit of my life with them, such as Tinkerbell of Taiwan and Riamfada of Oman. They can be seen in my webpage, with other birdies in my life. If you have not known of me before, the photos there, and the writings behind the photos might surprise and delight you. Each refresh of wheb page will bring out new photos. Here are just a few of those photos and videos. And detailed descriptions of how we did the training together that you can also "

    Warmest regards

Hi Shanlung, I am happy you posted here and happy your are still having "fun" with birds. I love the picture of Tinkerbell as well and happy she is still doing good these days. Yes, Facebook will suck you in and your can get hooked to it very easily and I try hard not to let it "suck" me into just sitting around looking at facebook.
Fly Free Boomer, we will forever love you.

You let the bird free to fly in a bird aviary several years back and went back there to see if he was still flying again. You wanted him to be and fly free. That is good. By flying at the Aviary, the strength of his wings and flying ability would reach a level he would never get to as a pet bird. Good came from this.
