    Fraudulent Log In Attempts

I just received an email saying somebody had tried to log into my TF account five times and was now forbidden from further attempts for 15 minutes. The IP address of the one making this attempt was from SWITZERLAND.

I have not been on Tailfeathers for several years. Please delete my account or direct me to where I can delete it myself. Thank you.

That's interesting. You have been hacked some where. I would be changing as many passwords as you can. And get new security software.
Mind you. If they had your passwords they would of got in.
Marrie or Dan will be able to help you remove yourself from the forum.
I would like to know more about what the notice had to say and why it was fraudulent attempts.
Maybe just someone has picked you out of the members list and tried to fluke your passwords. Remember anybody can see our screen names. Only members can see profiles.
    R.I.P my little ones.

    Re: Fraudulent Log In Attempts

This was the email I received.
    Dear Beeks,

Someone has tried to log into your account on Tailfeathers Bird Community with an incorrect password at least 5 times. This person has been prevented from attempting to login to your account for the next 15 minutes.

The person trying to log into your account had the following IP address: 176.10.99.206

    All the best,
    Tailfeathers Bird Community

If somebody who is not me, tries and fails five times to hack my password on a forum, I call that fraudulent activity. Somebody picking me out of the members list and trying to fake my password, is fraudulent activity. And I'm thinking it is probably because I have not been on this forum in at least three years maybe more. For what purpose I can't imagine but I have not been hacked in any other area of technology so I would rather just be removed from this forum completely.

    Thank You for that.

No problem. I do understand your concern. I would PM direct to Marrie and she can delete your membership.

I do agree it is totally fraudulent. At least you know it was only someone trying to use your account and had not got hold of any of your details.
The forum has been revamped as we had so many spamers.
I am sorry you have been picked on. I wonder if any other old members have also had this problem.
    R.I.P my little ones.
