I do not know the cure for a Lovebird problem, but suggest that besides this site, see if a bird rescue or another site on the Internet may know about Lovebird health.

I would not give it glucose water. If your bird is sick it needs warmth the most. You can put it in a small cage or better yet a 10 gallon fish tank with a screen over the top. Put s small towel on the bottom of the cage or tank. Spray millet can be offered and if it isn't eating the millet you may have to spoon feed it baby bird formula. Put a heating pad on one corner of the tank below the glass. If it needs the heat it will lay on that corner. Put a small food bowl and water bowl in the tank as well. If you have dog or cat vets they may be able to consult with a avian vet and help your bird too.

I hope your love feels better soon.

Hi, and welcome to the community. Could you tell us about this birds illness? What are the symptoms? Is it throwing up, or having runny watery poops? Is it lethargic and all fluffed up? Is it unable to perch? See if you can find an animal hospital or bird rescue in your area. They may be able to help you. Keep the sick bird warm. Make a little hospital cardboard box. Put a piece of flannel cloth on the bottom of the box. Heat it slightly so that your bird will be warm. Put the bird in the box and cover box with a piece of netting so the bird cannot get out of box. Some folks also leave the bird in the cage and cover top of cage with a lightweight blanket. Then, hang a heating pad on the side of the cage and place on low setting. Keep checking so it does not get too hot. Pad should have automatic shutoff.

Sugar water may not be a good idea, because too much sugar is not good for birds.

I hope you can find help asap!

That sounds like a good diet? Does he still seem inactive and tired? If so, I feel a vet check is in order.
