White face Opaline?

Hi, I found this one on top of my aviary chatting with my male,looks like a female opaline white face, am I right?

Awww! I love him or her! Are the feathers cinnamon color or light gray color? Mutation is either white face cinnamon pearl pied, or white face pearl pied. If it is over a year old, those pearls indicate female, if it has had the first annual hard molt. Because, males lose the pearling at there first hard molt. You might see faint color pearls, but most will disappear in the male. As I look at this one, I think female. The face and body look like one. There are no opaline mutations in cockatiels that I know of. I have never seen that name on the mutation websites for cockatiels.

I hope it is a female, and will pair with your male. The babies would be beautiful!

Light gray. It looks pied to me but I'm not sure. The color of the rings says this bird is born in 2015. I already have a single male, I don't remeber his age but not far from ten years.

That would make a great pair. Since you take excellent care of your birds, age would not make a difference. You will know what to feed them and get them ready for breeding! And then when the chicks hatch, when they are old enough, you can send me one by....EMAIL!!!!!!!

Yes, if grey, it would be a pearl pied, because I see those pearls on her. She is a perfect age to breed. As I shared, you take such great care of your flock, male being older does not matter.

For now she's in quarantine, but can't I wait to put her with my male, poor thing I don't know since when she's outside, she had the right to a big storm yesterday night, some feathers are missing in the throat area, other than that she seems very healthy.

It was this morning, I told myself 'It strange, it sounds like a tiel but a different voice of my male" I and saw this female flirting with my male.

Yes, I bred tiel long time ago, now I stopped this specie, but I kept 1 male because he's old and I had to hand-fed him so there's something between us, and this morning I heard a sound of tiel who wasn't the voice of my tiel, so I checked to be sure and I saw this bird on top of my aviary trying to enter in it.

I would not say tame but for a bird I found today I did not find it too scared.
I ony know 1 breeder who breed white face and the number on the ring did't match and to my knowledge no one in my neighborhood have this kind of bird. I live in a small village and the next is 15km away so she must have flew from a long long time.
I checked a website "petalert" and asked all breeders around me if one of their birds were missing, always "no"

Sad to say but we don't have pet rescue here and sometimes people "accidentally" forgot to close the cage when they're tired of their bird. I'm still amazed she found the avaiary when you consider the distance and the danger.

From what I have read, cockatiels can fly for long distances. Has she eaten anything yet? I will be interested to know how she slept in the night. I wonder if it is a Nature instinct that she found your male. We will watch for updates.

Your question intrigues me because, no, she doesn't eat that much, I gave a great parakeet mix she ates some millet and canary seeds, we all know that sunflower is not very good but very appreciated but none of it have been eaten.
After we have to consider the exhaustion and the stress, it's all new to her, I'll keep you updated tomorrow.

For the night we have a lot of abandonned barns that's why we have so much rare wild birds here and with the storm of yesterday she surely found a shelter, without that she will probably be dead.

For finding my aviary, honestly I don't know, I knows they (psittacides) can hear calls of theirs species severals km aways but 15km seems incredibile.

Opaline = pearled with tiel

Maybe opaline is an older name for this mutation, I'm going to use pearl to avoid confusion right now!
