If he was sick he would be sitting down on the bottom of the cage all day long as well. I have a feeling for some reason he feels more comfortable down there. Is it is bigger, softer or ?? perch he is going to sit on in the middle of the night? Just possibly the high perch might bother his feet after so many hours.

I suggest you cover the cage on all four sides at night. Leave about 4-6 inches of the cage not covered on the bottom front only.

Are their any other distractions in the room at night such as music or a TV playing? It needs to be complete quiet in the room at night.

iíll def try that tomorrow i made him fly quite a lot maybe he just sit all day thatís why heís not been sleeping because he is not tired and if i cover all sides iím scared the night light wonít be visible to him and he might get night frights so yeah and i sleep in quite as well but the their are usually noises of drunk people and cars on street which we can hear and there is nothing i can do about it
