I recently posted and I am really liking this website. But I have another question. I've heard from other owners that budgies get pinfeathers? According to what I know, and how they look, I believe my boy Trico has some. I noticed he has been rubbing his head on his cage and toys. I feel bad for him and I would like to know if there is any way I could help? He never really lets me touch his head, he is still nervous about those things. Please help. Thank you.
Our vet says frequent bathes or misting them is really good. She also recommends a pea sized dab of organic red palm oil everyday. Most birds will eat it off your finger but if not you can mix a little bit with there food.
