When will my budgies cere change color

So i asked this in a different thread but moved it to a new one. So my budgie, Luna is about 10 months - 14 months old and doesn't have a brown cere. I would have expected it by now but it hasn't came yet. Budgies cere turn brown around 8 months but Luna's hasn't. so I'm concerned and confused all help is appreciated.

What color is it? Can you provide a photo? Regardless, I doubt there's any cause for concern.

In my view, the pic of your budgie looks to be a female, due to the tan/ivory colored cere. Only mother nature will determine when or if your budgie gets hormonal and the cere then turns crusty brown color. There is no set time for this to happen. Each bird has their own DNA, from parents, which help contribute to the breeding process along with diet and environment.Time and patience are on your side.

What would happen if her cere never did change?

In that case, your female would not lay eggs, nor have the natural ability to mate and lay eggs. However, that is rare, if ever. Like humans, not all birds are sexually attracted to each other. Time will tell! The longer you have patience, the better for the birds, because they are very young as yet, and need to mature.
