    Re: Roseicollis 2019

Hi. Stephane. I am so happy to see you here. I have thought of you often this summer, wondering how you were doing with your flock and the virus pandemic. I am happy you are safe! Awwww! All of those lovies are gorgeous. And I love all the mutations. Quite honestly, there is no NO face like a lovebird, nor the beautiful colors they show in the feathering.

I will look forward to your breeding expertise this time around and watch for the great news and pics of the new babies!

    Stay safe!!!!! V(((((((hugs))))))). Ellen

    Re: Roseicollis 2019

Hello Ellen, the only place I've seen the virus was on TV but for for real nowhere.
I had a very hot and dry summer and I think it's probably why the breeding results were so bad.

As said before I will try new pairs but I don't really want to much babies this year, all shows have been cancelled for 2020 and mid-2021, so I will try to bred 2 or 3 pairs this autumn and concentrating myself on my "wildlife" video channel wishing the world to find its sanity back.

Wow! That is a neat channel. Thanks for posting that info. I am going to explore it! Yes, it is totally sad we had to experience the virus pandemic. Thankfully we have Youtube and our electronic devices to help us get through these tough times! Will watch for your updates!!

I am so happy i just came here to check on the site and found your little lovie video. I just loved all the cheeping and cute little lovebirds in it. I just cannot look at pictures and videos of lovebirds without smiling. They are just too cute not to love. Thanks Stephane and also thanks for the you tube videos. I have been enjoying the ones you post on FB as well. I am happy things are OK with your birds and with you in our strange world we seem to be living in these days. I am safe and enjoying our peaceful mountain top here in smoky California.
Fly Free Boomer, we will forever love you.

Orange Face Opaline are also my favorite mutation I would like to come to have some lutino opaline OF but those days I'm really interested with the recessives pied.

I haven't been on here for a long time Stephane, but I never leave for good. 😄
I've always wanted an OF Lutino too...such a beautiful color.
Can I ask why you are interested in Recessive Pied? I have a Cinnamon Dominant Pied that looks like a Recessive Pied and that's good enough for me. 😂

    Re: Roseicollis 2019

Generally I don't like pie birds whatever the species, it's give me a feeling a unfinished colors, but with recessive pies the differents hues have a softness I really like compared to the dominant pied.

But it's not for tomorrow, this color is almost impossible to find, I can't count the french breeders of this mutation on one hand with some missing fingers lol but I'm not losing hope, one day I konw I will have the pleasure to have them in my aviaries

P.S. : if your DP looks like a RP, feel free to share a picture

Stephane, I took some pics of him for you, but I have to figure out how to get them on here now. I need to find a safe image hosting site...

In the past I used servimg.com, but I think you can create an album here on your tailfeathers profile.

Tim. Welcome back! You might try ...tiny pics! Check out that website. I know others here have used that to post pics. Photobucket used to be the best one, but in recent time they began to charge fees. I do not think Tiny Pic charges any.

Thanks Maxollie! Just an FYI, tinypics is no more! They're referring people to Photobucket. 🙂

Here's my bird Stephane! Sorry it took so long.

    Cinnamon D Turquoise Dom. Pied

    Re: Roseicollis 2019

Thanks Maxollie! He really is a beautiful bird. 😊

Stephane, he's softer colored than he looks in the pic. For some reason pics on this phone always increase the color saturation on my birds. Everyone always asks me if he's Recessive Pied though.

I never mind sharing my birds. 😄
