I have not been watching the live feed on these two yet but have been on the Facebook group reading all about these two and seeing pictures they have showing of them. Thanks for the link the live feed and I guess I will need to start watching it. I heard the other Decorah eagles in the north nest ?? already have 3 eggs in there nest.

This is so heartbreaking, I will provide a link from SOAR (Saving Our Avian Resources). D32 and D33 were on the skywalk branch in the cottonwood tree. D32 fell/fledged off the branch and has not been located. The were very quick to get out and look for D32 and still can not locate the eaglet. The very next day, D33 was almost at the same spot as D32 and also fell off the branch. The Iowa DNR was immediately notified and found D33. D33 was brought to SOAR for an evaluation and was discovered that it had nasty bites from the black flies. The eaglet was also underweight, anemic and dehydrated. The vets did not find any signs of bruising, broken bones, wings or swelling. The rascal ate half a quail and they were going to give it some beef hearts to assist with it's anemia. The folks over at SOAR along with the Iowa DNR are following and watching Mom and DM2 for clues to see where D32 could be.

I am asking if we can cross our talons and pray that D32 will be found and unharmed.

I have been watching the eagles this year and very sad they all took off out of the nest early. I am however very happy they all are alive, even D32 and well at SOAR and they will be returned to the wild once they are truly ready to fledge. These poor eagles have a really rough few years with those nasty flies.
