I never thought about them having PTFE in them. I really do not think they heat up enough to even emit fumes and I never seen any that had anything like Teflon in them either.
How is little Sammy doing?
Hey guys,
eyeing up and new microwave - wasn't sure if need to worry about them having PTFE in like I do with ovens
It is a microwave -not an oven one - but any thoughts please?

Thanks Dea. I didnt think they were an issue either. Sammy was doing pretty well, but then Bluey got a cold (which they shared) and he started moulting. So he's back in the collar poor thing. However in himself he's pretty cheerful and currently doing a happy dance around the floorcrazy little dude
Oh no, I am hoping no one catches any more colds at your house, you have not had a much of a break since the last cold.

Helen, I am going to second Deanna on her advice regarding the microwave. It's really cute. I like the retro look.
Happy to hear that Sammy is still a crazy dude.

Well - I bought it and used it outside - and didn't really smell. no one has fallen off their perch, so seems to be OK
Thanks Carolyn - I liked it too - and that it came in colour schemes that match my kitchen is even better. The other one was getting really quite old and a bit rusty looking inside. Eeek!
Sammy's been a bit more clicky today - and his breathing seems heavy to look at, so back on the nebuliser too. But he also managed to throw his food all over the floor, and stuff his floor coverings into his water pot and drench his cage. In about 10 min flat - so the mischief level is well and truly there lol
I wonder if it's moulting. It's always hit him really hard... poor little guy (Says the person who just had the joy of cleaning out a completely drenched cage. Nice huh)
Thanks Lee for the adorable sig!
Molting was so very hard on Boomer and even Tikki struggles a little bit when he molts. I hope Sammy does good through his molt.
I am happy you bought your cute microwave and it didn't stink at all.
