Hey. I have a big cage outside with fourteen budgies in it. There are three babies right now. I just went out to check on the babies and the oldest has blood around his cere. I am worried about him. The bleeding seems to have stopped. Is it likely that the bleeding will continue? Do I need to separate him? He/she is too young to eat on his/her own and I don't know how to hand feed him or where to get the formula to feed him. Could it be a problem she has or do you think one of the budgies bit him? I will be checking on him every hour. His/her brothers/sisters are doing fine.

Keep a close eye on him. It could be one of the parents might have picked on him. That can happen. I do feel, if at all possible, you leave him in the nest with his parents. Observe the nest often, and also watch for either parent picking on him.
Anytime you see evidence of blood, take a very small amount of flour and dab on a wound. It should stop the bleeding.
