I have not seen pics of either of these mutations. I suggest you do a Google search......breeding budgies. There are several credible websites to read.

Ideally, your pair should be about 1 1/2 years old. You would need a good sized cage, at least approximately 24 x 24 inches. Also, take a look at a flight cage. It is also bigger, but I think would work out well, because, if you are successful in hatching, you will also need room for the babies. You will need to buy a budgie wooden nest box at the pet store. I would put it in the cage, Rather than hanging it on the outside of the cage.

It is a good idea to read all about breeding, egg laying and hatching so you will get an idea of what to expect in the process.

. Oh my goodness!!!!!!! They are gorgeous!!!!!!

I would not recommend budgies to be outside in winter. If you have ever been to a nursing home, on occasion you see indoor aviaries. They are beautiful and would be perfect for winter . Go to this website.......custom cages.com. indoor aviaries. They also have outside aviaries. Of course they may be too pricey, but you can look at them anyway.

Even outside aviaries have to be placed in a shady, breezy area, and I think real hot weather would not be good for any birds. Perhaps you could just have an inside aviary like those I saw on that website.

After doing an awful lot of thinking I wondered into a pet shop and walked out with 2 more cockatiels lol I now have a pair of whiteface pastel silver cockatiels added to my feathered family... I have zero restraint when it comes to birdie babies lol

I just saw their picture. They too are beautuful and precious. I am sure you know that Australia is what I consider the capital of the cockatiel world, because there are soooo many in the wild there. I have no doubt the DNA line of all cockatiels there, whether caged, or wild, is very strong. That is why they all are stunning.

Congrats!!! I love the names you chose. Good luck on the journey with them. We will welcome updates anytime!!
