Tyrion is settling in well

Happy Easter everyone
Tyrion has been home a little more than a week now, and he/she has settled in well. The baby hissy fits seem to be declining some, but we still have them at least 3 times a day. Sometimes he wants food, sometimes, he just wants a cupped hand to snuggle in and take a nap.I', assuming this position is from baby days with his clutch mates. Naps are at least 4 times a day.
He gets cage time, play area time, and sitting on one of us time everyday. I've started a run across the floor exerciser/ name training time every morning as well. The bird lady had clipped his wings, so I have him run to me back and forth several times. He seems to be responding to his name a little bit now.
The hissy fits are a real trial i'll admit It's just like having a screaming baby. I've read that these fits will be outgrown in a few weeks.
I'm very glad of all the time I have to be with him these days. It will be a huge change when I go back to work in a month or so, hopefully.

You are doing great in getting him used to you, and his new home. And he or she is doing great too. The hissi fits are just a part of being a baby. And also, females tend to actually hiss, when they are older.Males generally do not. That is not to say Tyrion is a girl. Just wanted to share that info.

Oh I know the feeling of leaving them when one has to work. You made a great decision in getting him now, so you could spend time with him all day, every day, and not be working at all. That sure will help him during the day when he is alone. They can sense when it is time for us to come home from work. I suggest playing soft music on a radio or CD player, while you are working.

Tyrion is just too cute and it must be sort of funny seeing him throwing hissy fits. Birds can be so animated when they want to get something. He is going to be a huge people bird with you raising him as him a baby. Thanks for the update and stay safe.

Trouble with being forced to stay home. I get bored easily. So Tyrion now has additional perches and a ladder on his play gym.
