They are a great pair. Do they interact with the cockatiel at all?
No, I think the cockatiel is afraid of them, if in one week the tiel is still scared I will have to put it in another aviary, but in the same time I don't really want to let it alone, sometimes I want to buy another female, but my male is now 11 years old so I don't know if it's a good idea.
From what I've learned here on the forum, cockatiels can live to upwards of 25 years. Maybe there would be a bird rescue or adoption in your area that would have an older cockatial female that you could pair him with.
I'm sure happy you joined the forum, Stephane. You have shared so much about your birds as well as educating us with the beautiful pictures of bird species many of us never even knew existed.
Thanks so much for being a very valuable member.
They are stunning. Thanks for sharing!
Wow! Absolutely beautiful little birds! The aviary is so wonderfully spacious too! And I would like to second Ellen's quote and say thank you as well Stephane for being a valuable member of this forum and for your very helpful advice on here too.
I love them Stephane! They are so beautiful and so is their song. Are you going to breed them this year?
Fly Free Boomer, we will forever love you.
Thank you everyone for your very pleasant comments.
I'm going to try to breed them this years, they're both adult, the male is 3 years old and the female 6. The breeder told me to put a nest now because they often start to breed from March. But as they don't know each other it might be later this years or next year, but who knows, they're only together since this afternoon and they seems very close.
How exciting!! There babies are going to be so cute.
Fly Free Boomer, we will forever love you.
"It's my seeds"
Looks like you may need to put in a few more seed bowls so all of them eat without being chased away from the bowl.
Fly Free Boomer, we will forever love you.
There is 2 others bowls, 1 with seeds and the other with apple, but they all want this "one" bowl.
I loom forward to being on the journey with you and this new pair. Being the naturalist you are, I am sure you will have success with them, and before too long, you will have great news to share about them.
Like every night I checked the aviary to see if everything was ok, impossible to find my moustached parakeet, the only place I didn't check is the nest![]()
