    Tyrion is 4 months old!

Tyrion has made 4 months old! SHe has reached first mini molt, and is dropping feathers all over the place. If I remember right, she should have a bigger molt at 9 months? where we might know for sure if Tyrion is a female. I'm pretty sure she is though. She has a lovely chirp, but not the vocalizations I would associate with a male. her cheeks are duller than expected. and is not nearly as aggressive as the love bird.
There have been days where Tryion will watch Bori (the love bird) and Sassa (the cat) playing on the ground. Tryion will inch her way down to the floor and tentatively make her way near them to try and join. But as soon as Bori sees her and runs over, Tryion will run away back to me and hide under my hair. Bori has nipped her toes, so Tryion runs away any time Bori comes near.
But if the other two arent around, Tyrion will go and try to play with the toys.
I've given Tryion toys in her cage and on her play gym. I've been going back to work a couple of days a week, and Tryion is getting used to having to be in her cage more these days.
    overall, she is doing well.

Thanks for the update! Seems impossible she is already 4 months old. It does sound to me like Tyrion is a female, but that 9-12 annual molt will confirm it, if she keeps her pearls! As I have shared before, I just love pearly cockatiels, and females as well! They are so loving, and generally docile and quiet compared to males!

I bet watching Tyrion growing up is so fun and exciting, to see them do things for the first time and see how they evolve in time is such a great experience. Lovebirds are just so sassy and bossy and poor Tyrion has to watch out for that big lovie beak, they are vicious!
Fly Free Boomer, we will forever love you.

Yeah, Bori is a real pissant. he can be so cute, and loving one moment, and biting the heck out of you the next. Ill never have a lovebird after this one.
Tyrion is much more enjoyable to have around.
I've been noticing that she really uses her feet more than other cockatiels I've had. She almost grabs and holds things with her feet.
