My daughters' love bird Bori, passed away yesterday. she was fine when Raven left the house early afternoon, but when I got home around 4 she had passed away. I found her laying on her eggs. She had laid 2 huge eggs over the past 3 days.
We are not totally sure what happened. But she had been on a mad chewing binge, mostly paper, but Raven found her chewing on some kitty litter once, and a hook in the kitchen. We think she had chewed the wrong thing and it poisoned her.
This is a heavy blow for Raven. She loved that bird. They were always together when home.
I am going to miss her many different R2-D2 like chirps and the raspberries she blew at me every morning.

Awww! I am so sorry Bori has passed away! I am wondering if those eggs were just too large for her, and it hurt her inside!! Did you see any blood on her bottom area. Did you see blood on the eggs or around the cage bottom. Of course the kitty litter and metal could also have caused her death.

there wasnt any blood to be seen. The eggs might have been too big for her, having 2 that size. but, I really don't know
I am very sorry to read this post and so sorry your lost your beautiful lovebird Bori. I can only imagine how hard it is to lose such a young sweet bird. My heart hurts for you and your daughter
