Unhappy HELP: my budgie is unwell.

    Hi all! First post here.

Recently, our budgie Ruby has developed a strange behavior.
She's not well and she is gasping for air and bobbing her tail every few seconds. She's still eating and drinking water, but she's sleeping most of the day and always fluffed up. I've attached a link to a youtube video, if anyone can help it would be greatly appreciated. Many thanks TF!

Hi, and welcome to the community. Your budgie is beautiful. You need to get her to an avian vet immediately tomorrow because I think she has a respiratory or bacteria infection and needs medication immediately. Budgies and all birds hide their illnesses, and can be very ill in a short period of time. We will watch for updates.

If you have an animal or bird hospital in the area, you might try calling them today. They may be able to help you!
