    A baby lovebird hatched!

Hi everyone! I decided to let my lovebird pair, Lou and Sam, have two babies, and we plan on keeping the babies. Egg #1 hatched! It looks so cute, all white and fluffy. Although, I do not think it hatched today, maybe yesterday, based on its down feathers. It is a little bit thick for its age, and it is dry. The chip on the beak is still present, so the chick is clearly 3 days old or less. Whatcha think, guys?

    EDIT: Here is a picture

Hi, Amberlin and welcome to the community. First of all I love your name! That is very special. And....awwwwwww.....what a sweet baby. I love the feather colors. Would you post a pic of mom and dad? I would like to see their colors. You can be very proud of the eggs hatching. Do you use a nest box? We will welcome your updates anytime. Those babies will be the joy of your life, just like the parents! Again...congrats!!!

Oh my goodness, what a little cutie. It is so tiny. I hope it is growing and doing good these days.

Thank you! I believe I have pictures of the parents somewhere in my profile. I'll go and find them, or I'll snap new pictures of the pair.

And yes! Both babies are doing very well! They are 3 weeks old now. Their colors are coming in, and it seems like they are nearly the replica of both parents. The father is Dutch Blue. I am not sure what the mother is- I suspect she is Orange Head Opaline Pied. I could be wrong, though. I will post a picture of their first baby from 2017 because I have zero idea of what he was! Unfortunately, he crossed the rainbow bridge last year. His feathers were white, yellow, and blue in splotches.
